CR29 tapped hole
« on: May 06, 2010, 04:59:18 PM »
I just mounted up a set of CR29 carbs and while I was hooking up the fuel lines i noticed an open tapped hole in one of the carbs, which is blanked off on each of the other carbs.

Each Carb has an air screw to one side of the inlet

and 3 out of 4 have a corresponding blanked off section on the other side of the inlet

However 1 out of 4 has a tapped hole oppostie the air screw

This hole must have a purpose.

Can anyone help?

that is a good question, i noticed that on my cr's too, at first i freaked out because i thought that i lost a screw
Funny thing about regret is...... its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't done.

Well that is kind of what i thought to

I assume you are running them with this hole open?

I can only imagine that this hole has to serve some purpose or they wouldnt have gone through the exercise of tapping it

Hi if its a tapped hole on no 2 carb its for a little retaining bracket to hold / stop the fuel pipe from moving.
Hope this helps
