CB350F carb jetting question
« on: January 10, 2011, 04:45:27 AM »
Hi Guys

Long time reader, first time poster. Love this site!

I'm looking at changing to these http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=RC-0794 pod filters on my stock 350F and was hoping for some advice.

I know people have differing views on running pod filters but it's something I want to do, mainly because of the clean look.

Question is: what would be a good size main jet to try when re-jetting for the pods? I understand it may take trying out a few different sizes to get it perfect but i'm interested to know what people have found to be a good match i.e. a good place for me to start.

The bike is essentially stock (engine-wise) with what i believe is the original (though somewhat welded up) 4-4 exhaust.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Doug.

your bike may look clean, but tuning will be a challenge.
Save all your stock airbox and carb components for a rainy day  ;)

85 mains will get you real close.

Ok I'll give 85's a try and go from there.

Will definitely be keeping the stock setup at hand.

Thanks for the help.

might want to ask whomever you by your 85's from, if they can get 90's, and if they can take returns.  ;)
If a WOT plug chop shows you are still lean on 85's, you dont want to be messing with drilling out jets.

FLYBOX! Long time Buddy!

I believe I ended up using 85's with my pods and the bike runs reat.

depends on the elevation, like i did the pods (emgo ones, i like the look a better) and did the stock size of jets since the pod's let more air in and since i have less air up in denver it basically equalled it out to a tune-able range

hope that helps

Will the emgo pod filters fit on the 350f or will they be too long and hit the frame?  I hear the K&N will fit but they are a little pricey.
