Show me your Candy Jade Green
« on: April 19, 2010, 07:00:19 PM »
I'm having a tough time finding GOOD pics of Candy Jade Green. Plenty of faded bikes, or bikes parked in the shade.

 Anything helps.
I'm thinking of running a slightly different stripe with the Jade Green and I'm trying to get a mental picture before I commit completely.

I've seen that. Only one pic of the Candy Jade though.
Notice how the Candy Gold looks so different in the photos? Orange in some pics and more gold in the others? That's another color I'm considering.

Without seeing these colors in person, it's hard to get an idea of what they REALLY look like. That's why I'd like to see some real world pics of the Jade Green if anyone has some.

These candies really shift color from bright sun to shade and even color of the sky. My recent paint job -- candy blue green -- can go from turquoise blue to sky blue to almost turquoise green. I think it the color and the silver base reflecting back what color is shining through. So if you want to really get a good idea of color, look at as many shots as you can in different lighting situations.

Here's a tank/sidecover shot. Check out how the color changes near the bottom when the tablecloth underneath reflects back. Pretty cool!

How do you think this would look.....
Even though Candy Jade Green isn't correct for a '71 CB500, I'm thinking CJG with the black Super Sport stripes from a CB450 (they also came on CB750's but the 450 is the correct length for my tank). Instead of the thin black outline around the stripe, I may replace that with a thin gold stripe since the CJG bikes came with a gold and white stripe around the cove.

These Super Sport stripes are also available in gold. Which would look better with Candy Jade Green?
If I run the black, I was thinking of replacing the thin outer stripes with a gold stripe. If I run the gold, replace the thin outer stripe with white (or maybe black?).
I know the CJG bikes had gold and white stripes around the black cove. Thoughts or opinions?
