Weber carbs
« on: March 15, 2013, 08:01:21 PM »
I'm not really sure if webers are made that fit these bikes anymore, or do I have to look for a set somewhere in the classifieds?  I've been doing alot of thinking about Keihins or Mikunis but from what I hear webers pack the most punch.

See the Weber Carb Set Up thread at http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=68065.0.  The short answer is that there are manifolds sometimes available on ebay and there are a number of forum members here that will help you.  I am considering using a pair of DCOE 40's once my engine has been rebuilt.

I bought a pair of 40DCOE's with intake about three years ago. Finally getting to mounting them. Amazed at how low the bike idles, still in the tuning stages. Yet to ride the bike, but am happy so far. Good Luck!

R C Engineering
Magnusen Product Development
Lynx
To mention a few..There is two versions of the MPD manifold,I have hose 2 and two others. Nd there was more. On some it was not easy to use aircleaners, but usually you could fit something,it is tight on some stock frames, and sidecovers need trimming.
