So I do understand someone could just roll the bike away without a wheel lock, but when I tear the bike down soon, I am going to go over the wiring, and replace any that look really bad, going to try to put in LEDs in for at least the tail light so I use less power, but my bike doesn't have turn signals, and I like it that way, just preference. So while I'm doing the wire stuff, I thought I would wire in an alt kill switch into the turn signal switch, for example, so it has to be in the left indicator position to start/run as well as the normal kill switch. Any other great/wacky/weird anti theft ideas out there? How do you protect your bike when it's out of the garage?

Drill and tap a hole in the gas tank and insert a spark plug, then put the cap on it when you park. It won't save the bike but there would be one less thief out there.  ;D

In law that's a little something called a "spring gun" scenario.  It's effective, but will get you in trouble...if you get caught  ;D

they make a GPS tracking device its expensive around $600 but you can also use it to track rides you've taken and whatnot
I love the fact that I could find the bike and go over shoot the bastard

One of my Harleys was stolen about 2 years ago. Factory security system was on, front forks locked, ignition switch locked, front wheel disk brake lock, padlock on the bike cover, parked on crushed stone, back gate bolted and locked.
Four guys with skateboards - according the police - just broke open the gate, picked it up and rolled it down the lane to an awaiting flatbed. Crews of tweekers.
One of those gps trackers sure seems like a neat idea.
This project started in confusion and will end in disarray.

a friend of mine just had his bike stolen.. he took it to a ghetto area for some kid to check it out and let him take it for a ride in an fenced in ball park and he squeezed out in between the back stop and side fence and shot off down the road... which got me thinking it would be handy to be able to remotley control the bike and it would hide any kill switches

Scorpio makes one.  They have plug-n-play units for some newer bikes, but they also have a universal setup as well.

That liger seems pretty mellow.

Rig up the rear half of the tank as a compartment for a tazmanian devil and have it pop open when the bike is started the wrong way.

what about maybe rigging a compact air horn so if the bike is started/moved with out the indicator in the left position it just starts blaring. Not saying it well stop someone but would prob scare the be-jesus out of them.

i wonder if theres a way to rig up a fence charger to zap unauthorized persons trying to start or take your bike....................

If you can read the lock number, you can order a new one from www.hondakeys.com
