Congrats on getting into uni, you don't look that old/mature  ;)

We have just this week got our block back after its big bore.

We have had a chamfer put on the under side of the pistons. The guy who reworked the head, told us that there was to many flat edges on the under side of the pistons and it would cause pressure problems in the crankcases.

I remembered a thread when i first joined the forum about pressure problems, so went ahead with the modifications.

The crank has been lightened and ballanced and the motor is about ready to go to the guy who will build it.

We hope he will have it done for the end of February.

Sean Condon (scondon) has had the same problem with the head gasket after the big bore and rebuild, he is curently in the process of fitting stronger studs. (less stretchy ones)

Good luck with uni.

Regards Sam.

Well that sounds positve Sam- You seemed a bit down about the progress (or lack of) a little while ago. I haven't had any leakage after using the APE studs. I haven't had any crankcase pressure problems either and that is with 915cc...someone isn't doing something right. ??? Nice to hear you are going back to school cben- I'm in the process of doing another milder head for Terry....I've got that shipping to Australia down to a science. ;) Those F4's are fun. I've done head/engine work on those for some racers-nice bikes for sure.

Hi Mike,  Your pistons are Yoshis arn't they, The Wiseco ones have a lot of thicknes on the skirts if you get my drift.

We are retaining the Honda studs as I don't think the amount of miles Chris will do will give it time to leak ;D
