at least is a lifan had to clean carb and tank and ~~still need to fix exhaust leak~~ (update fixed leak)

only 1307 miles and 2007 model

Hey, not a bad looking rig, especially for the Cost.

Ought to be economical too! Have they got Forums for that somewhere? Just messing with ya. Need to give us a report, when you get some facts about MPG, comfort to ride and such.

Man! I've wanted one of those cuties for a while now, but just never could pull the trigger. But for FREE!! Wow.

There IS a forum for the Chinese Lifan motors, it's a sub-forum on Thumpertalk. Probably a little help available there. http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/

As long as you don't thrash the ever-livin' pee outa it, it should do fine. I mean, it's only an air-cooled 200cc motor, after all. They don't look bad either, if maybe you could get rid of the big cartoon-y GS, and maybe the 'RAKATAK' name. Sounds like a Saturday morning cartoon show.

Good luck, and be sure to post back re: mpg, reliability, smoothness, etc.

the ride is ok not the smooth ride of a 750 but its a thumper

. handles quite well was draging foot pegs in the corners after about 35 miles of shakedown and check out
after 60 miles its still on full hasn't burnt a full gal. of gas yet

I still didn't take it above 65 mph but felt good stops well

Got to take it out for a ride today and boy did if feel nice to get back on a motorcyle after not ridding one in about a year since i sold mine

. but once i get van back Gonna sell it and get me a motorcyle with what's left of fixing my car

. I am gonna look into a honda rebel 450. I love the rebel's, Honda's are very good bikes and boy it will be nice to get back on the saddle again. now just gotta get saddle bags for that bike and i can use it to go to store with

. We were talking about putting a side car on the rebel once i get one lol, that way we can take kids out, they love to ride the bikes as well. right now we putt putt them around the yard lol.

ok did a few mods to it and it now sounds and runs alot better and its faster got 85 miles to the gal last fill up and topend is 85mph by gps before mods. after mods well ton up

for 200cc not bad and still need to get better air filter and 36 tooth rear sprocket. should be a really fun ride after that.

Well, I've seen that bike available new in red, blue, black and lime green. I'm partial to 'em in red, but the blue looks nice, too. I'd be tempted to just keep it (or repaint, or whatever) blue.

Finding replacement? Hmm..... gonna be tough, because the production / import #'s are so low and it's an 'off' brand. Keep an eye on ebay and/or the craigslist national search engines. Maybe surf around for some more 'Lifan' sites.

the forks are 33mm

here's what it looks like now (still need to polish the wheels and get a speedometer for an 18" wheel and a small /streetfighter size farring and a round headlight)

one of my absolute favourite motorcycles, and in the color scheme i like best too.
