I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

I don't think there is an age minimum in the states (at least not in Ohio).  I remember my dad telling me that my younger brother used to fall asleep while riding in front of my dad, leaning over onto one of his arms.  In my opinion, nap time is best in the comfort of the crib...

 I agree looks like a woman driving that bike. I take our kids for rides but not without a pillion in the back, it just makes me to nervouse otherwise, to ease my mind when I get me a bike we are gonna build a detachable sidecar for 2 so my kids can ride and make me feel a little more at ease.

I saw a dad picking his kid up from day care the other day on his Harley.
The kid had to be no more that pre-school age (4). Poor kid looked like he was holding on for dear life. At least he had a helmet. I can't believe the care providers let him leave. Plus it was 5 0'clock and there was traffic everywhere, Not just a drive down the street.

My wife looked at me and said "don't even think about it."

i used to ride on the back of my dads harley a lot when i was really young, some of the best memories of my childhood.
 no helmet (ohio) but he always made me put jeans on at least.
   he would ride fast too, i remember getting pretty scared from time to time but i would just tuck in and hold on tight and then realize how much fun i was having

when i was in egypt saw 5 people on a small 125cc bike
kid on tank, father driving, kid in middle
mother sidesaddle on back with kid in arm

I dont agree with it either but as a kid in the seventies I rode on the back of my dads bike as well,usually no helmet and my dad had a few as well.Surprised I made it.but then again ,back then if you fell down and smashed something you usually learned NOT to do it again,Kids these days with helmets and knee pads,sheeesh,politicall corectness gone overboard,bunch o namby pamby's.

kid needs to be able to reach the passenger pegs and have a helmet on, no exceptions in my opinion.

my 10 year old daughter cant reach the pegs on my 750 so i got a couple of 4" sections of 2x4 and hose clamped them to the pegs
   works perfect

Man That reminds me when my dad used to take me fishing on his bike.
There were no helmet laws back then, nor helmets for 8 year olds. I didn't consider the safety of it at the time, and I bet its these experiences that got me into bikes. I was more scared of a huge pike I had to share the ride back home with than the rides itself.


Too bad this guy does #$%* like this today. You can tell he knows hes doing something unsafe by the way he holds the kid back.

as the dad of a 16 month old, I cringe for sure.  just bad parenting all around.  being a new dad sure changes you and the way you feel about things, I know that
