Topic: will a cb750f seat fit a CB550K?

Does anyone know if a CB750F seat fits a CB550K?
My bike has a CB500 seat on it.  Not sure how that happened but I know someone who has a nice 750 seat that is a custom with the saddle for two that's more supportive than stock.

The hinge and plunger are on opposite sides between the two. The 750 seats are quite a bit larger as well.

So, anyone want to give me rough dimensions for the width at the hinges and fore and aft of that as well as the length?
I'm already in a situation where I'm having to adapt the CB500 seat to the bike as it did not have the latch to be able to lock or secure the seat.
I'm not building a cafe racer, a nice semi stock bike is what I'm after as a daily rider.

it might not look right.

but it's 6.5 in between hinges, with 4 inches of seat in front of the front hinge and 11 in of seat behind the back hinge. total seat length about 26.5 in.
