Ha!   If I had one ready to go, I would have sent it last week to take advantage of that free offer...

It's been almost a year since I've posted on this thread. Unfortunately, I had to sell off the turbo kit to put earnest money down on a house. Oh well, such is life.

Anyways. After getting some good time on the road, there's not too much I don't love about this bike. I swapped the Dyna ignition out for stock points. I don't understand how, but it was causing a parasitic drain on the battery. I triple checked my wiring, and it was not a wiring issue. But, with the clear Frankenstuff points cover, I wanted to see points arcing anyways. So Dyna off, points on.

CycleX has +2 over forks in stock. I'm going to be ordering a set soon. I just want a little more length in the front end.

The big thing today though is that I just paid for a set of Henry Abe wheels. They are shipped and should arrive next week. The rear is for the F1's, so it should be pretty much bolt-on. The front is going to be a different story. I'm pretty insistent on keeping the F2 front end and calipers, so I have to play around with different rotors and spacers, possibly even some machine shop work. One way or another though, the Henry Abes are going on this bike.

Congrats on the house!

Congrats on the Abe's!

Thanks to both!!! The garage is a biker's dream! It's technically only a one car garage, but there is no wall separating the garage from the basement. So it's really like a three car garage with a one car door. Plus it's heated in the winter and air conditioned in the summer!

The Abes should be here tomorrow. I found a link to a cafe guy who put a late model K wheel on his F2 front end and with minimal modifications, he was able to still run his F2 brakes. So, I will be posting that process as I do it because from everything I've found on THIS forum, it seems like black voodoo magic that you don't want to get yourself into.

The front wheel is naked. The rear seems to be painted gray. Right now, I am going to clean up the front and paint it to match the rear. Eventually though, I would like to paint them both gold, kind of like this color:

if you're going to paint one, why not paint both now? Then you'd be Golden!
