Are the '77 and '78 CB750 frames different?

I was under the impression that the k7 and k8 were the same frame. I was looking at the Airtech site (
http://tinyurl.com/22omcao
) because they have a seat that supposedly works with the stock seat latches and seat lock, but it says it only fits '69-'77 models. I'm sure there is a reason that it wont fit the '78, but I am curious to know why.

77/78 frames are for all practical purposes identical. Both the 77 and 78 seats have identical hinging on the left hand side. Basically, Airtech should not be including 77 in their years of fitment for their seat.
