Front brake drum compatibility?
« on: April 30, 2010, 04:01:00 PM »
I'm looking to put a front drum on my CB750. I've got a Superhawk hub, and I'm pretty sure CB450 backing plates fit right in. What about CB350/360 or CM400 CM450 front backing plates? Anyone know? I'm trying to be a cheap-o.

Going cheap on the front brake could cost more in the long run... the CB750 is a heavy machine. Less brake performance=greater stopping distance. Don't recall too many complaints about "too much" front brake.

I think you would be better off buying an entire 350 front wheel. BTW i have 19" wheel that I think is a 450 wheel and the 350 brake plate won't fit..

i have a spare drum/hub from my suzuki titan and it looks as if it will lace up to a 19" wheel using spokes from a 17" rear from a 77/78 750 k
