    Not at all, I just think that there should be a better way to handle things, as far as the U.S. is concerned. Why give as much as we do, when we've already got folks in need. I just think it also points out that, to all who bellyache about the U.S., it COULD BE A LOT WORSE! Sure, there are things that need to be taken care of and our politicians seem to have THEIR OWN agenda as well. I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but why do we feel that the illegal aliens need to get so much support? There is a whole lot that I DON'T know about politics and all, but it just seems so overwhelming. Some Legal Citizens are having a time keeping a roof over their head, food on the table and clothes on their back and yet SOME FOLKS come in illegally and get thing basically HANDED to them! What is wrong with this picture. Show me where I am wrong AND I'll accept it.

I have been to one of those but I will not say when and which one as we did it against the "wishes" of our government.  Had a great time and was treated well by all.

The problem with the list in your first post is that it is just a bunch of misleading and inaccurate generalizations designed to get folks upset.  It's "dog whistle" language designed to get a certain response against a certain group of people.  When someone sends me this kind of crap I usually just delete it and would not think of passing it on to others unless I checked it out and found it to be accurate.  No need to be tarred by someone elses ignorance.

Humor is one thing but this is not designed to be funny.

This is so much radical right wing propaganda, it makes my head spin.  Let's get a few things straight.

1 - A JOB, No.  You get work.  It is, and has been illegal for years to hire an illegal alien.  companies get fined for it every day.  Yes, many more companies get away with it, and you only hear about the big busts, but never hear about the single arrests.
2 - A DRIVERS LICENSE,

5 - FOOD STAMPS, No, no, no, and no.  One must prove citizenship to get any of these since 9/11
6 - CREDIT CARDS, This is a bad thing?  If those F*%#ing credit card companies want to loose money giving some illegal a card, so what?  Those companies will still rip off you and me regardless.
7 - SUBSIDIZED RENT OR A LOAN TO BUY A HOUSE, No. One needs a job(see #1) to get any kind of loan from a bank, and for subsidies, one needs to have #s 2 AND 3 to get these.
8 - FREE EDUCATION, For what THAT'S worth.
9 - FREE HEALTH CARE, No. The new bill doesn't call for that.  What was before that doesn't either.  Yes, one can get emergency room care now, but the new bill should help on that front.
10 - A LOBBYIST IN WASHINGTON

       The guy I got it from is usually pretty up on what he tells. looks like I should have checked it out better, but IF they didn't get in here in bunches, maybe there would at least be more jobs for the folks who ARE here legally. Seriously though, these "raging" emails are a real problem.  They  are usually written by someone scared about something, or mad over some other incident.  I got one railing against Target that had several "mistakes"(I'll be nice).  It's main complaint was that Target wouldn't allow the Salvation Army set up in front of any of their stores at Christmas.  It went on to say that this French company contributes heavily to gay and lesbian causes.  Interesting.  Except that Target is not a French company.  It has a 100 year history that started in Chicago.  And I've seen the Salvation Army in front of several Target stores in my area at Christmas.  The gay and lesbian thing?  Really?

It wouldn't surprise me if the originator of this email wasn't someone with a political agenda.  Immigration is clearly a very hot topic these days.  And what better way to "rally the troops" than an email like this?  And these things are always written so that you look like you are soooo un-American and you hate puppies if you don't agree(and forward it to all of your friends).

Of course I should shut the #$96* up.  Why should I exercise my legal 1ST Amendment right?  Which I helped fight for while I served in the military service.
