Somebody started to attemtp a streamliner would be my guess.  And yes, Bonneville has classes for even very small cc engines.

Maybe his back isn't as young as it used to be and his wife measured the height of his backside when he leaned over to get the height right coming off his back...
Either that or did you notice the size of his front fairing...it's oversized as well...
