When I bought my K6 out of Wisconsin it was the same deal. Engine # on title. Had no problems getting it titled here in Indiana. There was another thread here recently about this same thing. If I find it I'll post a link...

When I purchased my 1975 550F from Alberta Canada in 08, it was titled the same way. engine # on the vin. Just payed sales tax when I regestered it in Newfoundland, no problem. It seems to have been done alot by the bike dealers back in the day.
