the latest Dyna units that I have seen have the white/black/red wires. However, they have a little collar that slips over the black and white wires that are either yellow or blue. Can't honestly remember which is which. However, if you hook the red to power and the white and black to the coils, you will either be correct or you will be 180 degrees out. So hook your wires up and then hook a plug to the no. 4 plug wire. Turn the ignition on and slowly turn the crank by hand until the plug fires (ground the plug against the motor). Then you can look at the timing advance plate and see if you are at the 1-4 F mark or at the 2-3 F mark. Obviously if you are at the 1-4 mark you have the wires hooked up correctly. If you are at the 2-3 mark, then swap the white and black wires to the opposite coils and you should be right on.
