Beat the snow going to the shop, not quite coming home this weekend.
I've got 4 snows on the truck, so the black ice, and a small hill didn't bother me. It was fun though, doing a salom up through the stuck cute utes, with their 'all season' tires.
The good news is the filter arrived and I did get do a 1st trial fitting. Width looks good, as the kick starter folds into its stock position without touching.

The 2nd thing I got sorted and finalizied was the rear bake setup. Added a return spring, and made a temporary link for the brake light switch spring to attach to. The 6mm bolt will be replaced by a clevis pin, and a steel link for the brake light spring.
Shifter side is organizied. I cut down an old 550 shifter, and re-positioned it. The original bend created just the right clearence for the rod-end bolt, and aligned it with the one on the pedal.
Just need to make a linkage rod, and cleanup the original shifter part.
Also had time to delve into the horn switch problem. I've got a solution now, but need to remove the tank 1st, so I can change some wiring around. That will be the 1st thing on the list for the next trip; if I can pick up some 90 degree blade connectors before then. My sync tool didn't show up before I left, so tuning still needs to be done.
Tried the mirrors in some different positions. Up and in, I get to see elbows; down and in, knees, plus they may hit the tank.
So, these only work as they were, or like this, or down and out. Of course Goddfrey could always donate a pair of the $160 ones.
