Ive got a 03 Deuce not one problem has 35,000 on it. Had a panhead as well with over 150,000 miles on it just as reliable as a cb. Its all how you take care of them. A real biker loves em all.

The rules required a drip pan, but it seems the bike guys ignored this.  And yes Syscrush, figured if I was going to have a pan it should have a mirror to show off the underside.  Next time no pan, but a much bigger mirror. ;) :)

Your bike turned out great. It's definitely inspirational! I think I may have to go with a similar oil filter relocation from Terry now... How much does a set up like that cost?

I could have engraved you that logo in the same stuff as the mirror coaster. Maybe for the next show.

That's a definite possiblity Frankenstuff, great idea.

You will have to contact Terry to get a price.  Keep in mind that he only supplies to alloy bits, you will have to source the hoses.

Hot damn, fantastic craftsmanship and attention to detail on your build!  Love the trick little bits throughout the bike, and the turn around time is impressive.  Enjoyed looking and reading through your project!

Thanks Bamboozler & Godffrey, glad you enjoyed the read.  There was about 1 1/2 - 2 years planning, aquiring parts and finding sources.  The actual build & assembly happened quickly (sort of) because of that.

Even faster had you kept your hand out of places it shouldn't be...

How is it doing these days, any problems with the cold?

Well I can't wait to see the next project

Thanks for asking raef, the hand is coming along very well.  The 2nd operation gave me a whole bunch more movement, but strength is very slow to rebuild.  As for the cold, in a word - yes.  It is very sensitive to temperature change.

As for the next project.  I'm going to rebuild the 750 K3 basket case next.  It didn't come with any;), so it will get a front end (GL), new seat, and a refurbished tank.  Also plan to freshen the engine.  It's the 2nd 750 project that will be fun.  More on that later.

Sounds like she idles well with the "antipod".....Have you taken it for a decent ride yet.?  The snow on the ground tells me you probably haven't....Sounds great.... ;)

The idle seems to be quite good.  There is an air leak at #4 intake boot (carb end) that has appeared. ::)  That's causing a slight hunting in the idle.  It does appear to be very clean from off idle, through the transition.  Probably still a bit lean at the top though.  'The ride', was about 50 feet to the trailer.  However I do know that it shifts. ;)

Already started collecting the parts. ;)  Denis will be making two frames, one for the 550 race bike, and one for a 750 street bike.

Mick

I've got a K3 to put together 1st Mick.  It's supplying the frame for the mono frame jig's mounting points.  Should have it back by April.  Just getting the last of the main parts together.  Then the cleaning, refinishing starts.  I'll start a thread for it soon.  The Curtis 750 frame will be getting some interesting parts, including a displacement increase, and trick front end. ;)  More on that soon.  I have most of the stuff needed to make the 550 race bike a rolling chassis now (most needs refinishing :(), and a 550 engine to build up($'s ::)).  Both those projects though are going to take some time to complete properly.

I know, and I would have to have them as well. However I would ride it around for as long as I could with out the baffles before putting them on. It sounds really mean that way!
