Yeah, certainly not my cup of tea either Bill. But then I'm not into many bikes newer than when spokes stopped being used or so....well the FJ is an '85 and I got that 'cuz it was a deal.  '78 down are my favourites. I no longer have a need for three billion horsepower, take turns at 600mph, ride in the fetal position or go the other way and look like a cartoon version of a chopped 1948 Harley.

The reason all of this started with the big four was because people stopped buying the four cylinder bikes....and the only fours left were the sportbike/Darth Vader looking stuff.

Those companies have to make money....and for now, the money is in a V-twin apparently.

I wish the new CB1100 would have just been a direct copy of the CB750 as far as looks, the tank, etc. but with cutting edge brakes and EFI DOHC motor.  Basically a modernized K6.

 I think the reto four, is not in demand as much as some here wish..

 400 people on here that MIGHT buy, does not start up the production line..
 I really dont care much for that 1100..
 Back to the Fury..

 The Japanese resisted, oh how they resisted trying to meet American style in its actual form..
 They were going to do it BETTER.. their way.. well they tried and tried and tried..
 And finally.. they built an American looking bike (Honda powered), and it sells..  just shows, folks wanted a certain look, not overengineered better.. It was so simple...

 I think they came out a bit late but it does look far cleaner than all the rest of the Metricchopperblobs.. out there..

What about the Suzuki Invader, which has been around since the '80's.
Perhaps kind of a Harley chopper junior, but it was clean looking, dependable, and faster than most HD's.

That's just it....cruisers are about cruising, not speed.

Harley OWNS that market.  The cruisers that sell from the big 4 are the lower cost ones.

The thing that kills the big 4....is that so many of us tell them "build us this"......and then how many would actually BUY one if they built it?  They know that alot of us are just tire kickers.....

 Did it outsell everyone certain years?..Does it have a strong following? Does it have endless stuiff available..?

Is it Better?.. no doubt.....

Before this bike came out they patented a under seat radiator which was kinda cool. Bike is not my cup of tea but its a cool idea. Too bad it did not make it on the production bike.

I have seen the Fury in the showroom and it is nice looking, very nice looking. Honda commissioned Jesse James to build them sportbike and a chopper. They took his basic style and altered it for mass production and street legality. In a showroom filled with HD clones and generic looking sportbikes, it does stand out. And they do sell very well.

We love our vintage Hondas but the World will not spin backward for us. I would love to see a a Vintage style Honda come out using one of their sportbike inline fours and an upgraded suspension and braking.
