Might be a 70's Hot Rod.. Cafe.. or a 2010 What Rod.. or maybe something else...

As far as used sets, I am into 2 sets here for less than what you are spending..

Why would i use a new manifold for injection, its just a throttle body....nothing too flash about that and i suppose it makes the injection even more attractive and i would love to see a "brand new" webber manifold for a Honda. If you can buy 2, 40mm webbers and set them up for cheaper than i can inject my bike then i'll eat my hat Frank, i don't need to change the manifolds or the cables either. Anyway this is pointless as i already know the benefits of injection and they far out weigh using webbers or even CR's, and it even self tunes itself........

I understand that every one has different opinions and we all know Frank loves webbers but i woke up today in 2010 and 30 year old fuel technology is old hat, i want smooth instant power and get better fuel economy along with it because the injection only uses what it needs...

I am into mine for 300, with a huge amount of jets.. I did buy a few jets and chokes after that..

Hey I am not slamming FI, Just not about to switch to it, and waiting to see the better gas mileage. if you like it run with it..

How many venturi sizes did you say you have?

What flavour is your hat??.. I did buy a another set of Webers in the last 6 months.. for my buddy.. you may choke if I told the price..

I thought you would understand or know that injection is now the most common used fuel delivery system because of its efficiency, its really a no brainer these days mate.....The hat is sweat flavored too mate....not that tasty....

if you want to weigh your bike for free,go to the local quarry or tip/dump that has a weigh bridge with a display the driver can see,pull up onto it,step off on to the catwalk and note the numbers,ask the operator a dumb question,like do you take rubbish here,or do you sell crushed rock?then leave.mine is 180 kilos full tank.,my car is 1405.

Hi gang.Great arguments pro and con.My two cents,[plus GST Frank].I have had Mikuni smooth bore 29's and webber 40's with 32 chokes on my 1000 at different times.At Mosport race track,by seat of the pants comparo only,the Italians won hands down.How they would stack up versus CR's or other types I know not.I would agree that today,EFI would be the way to go for horsepower,emissions,mileage,and driveability.It simply amazes me the power that is being found in today's auto engines specifically, with better mileage and driveability than ever. Actually the last time we discussed the weight issue, it was a pair of 2 throat Dellorrtos & a manifold that I weighed, and it did come in well under what you said they weighed.

Then I posted a few days back, that shipped weight on a pair of webers, stacks and manifold, 4 screw drivers, and a pair of knives was under 16 lbs..

I got to remind you about something.. City Boy had said, on the long straight at Mosport.. NOTHING pulled away from his 1000cc CB with Webers on it..

No he fcuking didn't Frank, he said that in a "seat of the pants" comparison between 29mm Mikuni's and 32mm Webers on a 1000cc bike, the bigger carbs were better, but that's a no brainer, isn't it?

Ok I will rephrase.. that, and apologize.
Thhe time he was talking of (I believe) he was running in a sort of superbike series, ie Honda Kawis, Suzukis of the day.. modded streetbikes.. most which should have or could easily make as much or more HP than most of the Hondas.
CB correct me if I am wring on that.

Meanwhile I am pretty sure there were all out racebikes that were quicker.. racing in a different class.
Sorry to be confusing. Not sure what throat size he used, there can be big differences by changing the size.. easy to do..

Hi guys.I had mentioned way back that I had not been passed up the back straight at Mosport Park.There were faster bikes in the race than mine,however,they just weren't extracting everything on tap from their machines I guess.In my defence,my Cobra was one rapid rickshaw and will be again once it is re bearinged. I got some of the generic bike master euro bars and after going though all the trouble of putting them on they dont seem to do anything for me. The bars need to be lower and more narrow.

I used to have a set of black euro style bars on an old 750 that were perfect, they had a K&N sticker on them. Kinda odd but did they ever make bars?

Any one have a set of CB400F bars or some other similar euro bars?

Still need a seat pan.

Also, I know its a shot in the dark but does anyone have a tank and side cover set they want to trade? The paint of this bike is perfect but I am just not into the "ghost flames". Would be really interested in an early KO-K3 paint job.

Yeah she needs a tire bad. Have to wait to payday. Also the reason I have not taken her out on the freeway yet. Putting around in the bottom of second is no fun.

We all know a tire w/dry rot is trash, but with a tube in it, what really could happen? I doubt to would blow.

Well, the worst that could happen is a crack opens up to the point where a big inner-tube bubble herniates out of the side of the tire. Not sure I would like to experience that at high speed!!!
