It was attached to the original inner left headlight ear

It is your turn signal buzzer. Mounts on a bracket behind the headlight shell off the fork ear. Whoops you do not have an ear

If it is not beeping, there is an adjustment on the back of it. Remove the rubber and look for the small screw that has a locknut. With the turn signal on, turn the screw in or out to get it to beep, then tighten the lock nut. I just did this on the CB750K8 that I am turning into a cafe racer.
