Steve McQueen in LeMANS
« on: May 07, 2010, 12:12:17 PM »
I bought this movie about 2 years ago on ebay. I've watched it 5 times.  Great racing footage!!!! I love the cars from this era (1971). My next bike build (cafe) I'll be going with the porsche 917 color scheme from this movie.

Watched it a couple months ago on AMC or something.   Liked the old footage of the "race".  Thought the staged crashes were to cheesy.  And they ruined it with a love story.    Grand Prix is another one thats ok with James Gardner.

Yeah they always have to screw up a racing movie with a "love" story. I hear McQueen hated it because the studio took it over near the end of filming. Still the cars are awesome and the race footage is cool.
