Victim, injured in crosswalk, is treated in hospital for minor facial injuries

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - The victim might have forgiven the woman who ran him down in a Massachusetts crosswalk, but police haven't.

Police say a Pittsfield woman has been cited for running down a man named Lord Jesus Christ as he crossed a street in Northampton on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old man is from Belchertown. Officers checked his ID and discovered that, indeed, his legal name is Lord Jesus Christ. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor facial injuries and later released, according to the local paper, The Republican.

Christ was in a marked crosswalk at the time of the accident, Capt. Scott Savino told the paper.

Police say 20-year-old Brittany Cantarella was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

...aside from the accident, does that mean his girlfriend personally witnesses the 2nd (and maybe even 3rd) coming of christ on a regular basis?

I thought there were rules and limitations on naming children, because in Japan, they wouldn't allow a couple to name their child "Akuma" (ultimate evil) and that family in australia couldn't name their children after where they were conceived... namely "Garage, kitchen, etc".

So if this is a thread that turns into strange names I have a few for you all. And yes these are all true.

Female, Orangejello, Lemonjello, Meconium, Vagina, and Nevaeh. For those in the health care field, you know that meconium is a baby's first poop.

I have transported quite a few newborns to our hospital and we generally ask the parents before we leave the name of their new baby. Maybe they were stressed and picked the first thing that came to mind. I don't know. I'm trying to think of a few more.

When my daughter was pregnant, she found the name Velveeta in a baby name book.  Name you daughter after cheese  ???
