CB400F carb bowl o-ring size?
« on: May 14, 2010, 07:16:55 AM »
I found the o-ring sizes for the internal stuff, but not the carb bowl and it's sure to leak if I don't replace it.  My industrial supplier should be able to get everything if I can find the sizes.  Anybody know it?

If I can get this guy to supply everything, I'll post his contact info.  Carb kit prices are simply rediculous and I'm not a "thrifty" kind of person at all.

Thanks,
Craig

try these guys, they're really helpful and if you order from them it almost always comes in 1 to 2 days.

This guy is a member. He sells a kit for all 4 carbs. Very reasonable. Every o-ring you need even if you dont need it. I dont know why he doesnt sell them on e-bay?  He sells the Phenolic brake pistons there. E mail him and save ALOT of $ and hassles. Make sure to tell him your year and model of course. If this info that Ive given you is bunk please post that as a reply! I have posted this info before. I will send him one now as i Have a friend that has been bitten by a SOHC 77 750f. Just this morning in RI.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

I use bulk 2mm cord, laid in the groove of a spare bowl converted to a cutting fixture, to get an exact fit then join the ends with cyanoacrylate.

If buying a stock metric ring size, I think you'll get your best fit with 2mm cross section x 63mm ID.
