I'm doing a bit of digging for one of those as well. I just started a thread in the SOHC section about removing the oil tank completely...

Mick

My Friend welded up the swingarm, did first leaktest and found out it will hold 2 litres of oil :) :) ;D With the extra oilfilter it should be enough :):) So I am pretty pleased :)

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

Thank you guys:):) Will post more pictures when I have cleaned it :) With the extra filter it will hold the same volume oil as the stock tank.. But the oil will be located lower.. Do not know if that will affect the oilsystem?? Anybody have experience with lower location of tank?

Thanks :) :)

Your tank is really nice. I would like to see some more pics of the process if you have them.

and what brakes are you using up front? any other mods you had to do to them?

Thank you guys:) The tank started as a cb 500 tank, had a donor 750 tank that i cut out the knee indents from and reversed them end welded it to the 500 tank. Also stretched it a bit using parts from a beetle front bonnet. Had to work a bit on the tunnel to make it wide enough...

Some pictures :) before it is all welded up..

The front brake is a caliper i bought on eBay for $5,95:)  It came from Kawasaki Z1000 1999, But you can use any superbike caliper if you can make a bracket:) I have not done any modifications to it :):)

Lordmember......Just some inspiration for you when it comes to finishing the Electronic Fuel Injection on your cafe project......
http://s258.photobucket.com/albums/hh280/23tbucket_2007/?action=view&current=001-39.mp4

The microsquirt is completly controlling the fuel injection in this video. The ignition is Power/Arc firing 4 coil-on-plugs in a wasted spark format. This engine has a small 500 cc/ revolution rootes type supercharger. External Densco alternator. I have the same GSXR 600 throttle bodies as you.......but, I had to add an extra 5th. throttle body to the inlet to the supercharger!!!! As you can hear and see the boost from the positive displacement blower pinned the 15 psi gauge at only 4000 rpm, before the engine ran out of gas...lol. The engine was impossible to tune! There was just too much boost and it bent my throttle plates during some high RPM tuning and the engine ran away on me. I removed all the throttle plates and blocked off the shaft openings..so all my GSXR 600 throttle bodies do now is hold the injectors. I built a special intake runner to replace the supercharger inlet filter and put another throttle body on without the injector. I'm just in the process of re-tuning the ECM. I'll post a video on the new Honda CB750 with the "5" throttle bodies later.........
Just a note....A couple of times, I disabled the supercharger boost, and the engine was so sweet to start and ran very, very clean......still snappy throttle responce.....idled as smooth as an old Buick......I almost wished I hadn't put the supercharger on!!!
Are you getting a bit more excited now?????? Ha! ha!

Take care; Clifford

Thank  you Clifford..
Just what i need is some inspiration:):) Cant seem to get myselves to start the wiring :( All the cables scares me :( :)  But I am almost there.. How was it to program the microsquirt?

Great build you got there :)

Thanks again..

Thank you:) that sounds like a great idea, its pretty smal so it wort trying out:) I know 23tbucket made some sort of belt drive for a simular generator and compressor so that can be made. PM me and I will pay for shipping :) :)
