Assembly sequence question
« on: May 09, 2010, 05:10:03 AM »
Does the alternator cover go on before the tranny cover or does it matter. Seems like it did coming off.

If you mean the cover that goes over the drive sprocket, it can be removed/replaced with the alt cover on but it is tricky, kinda have to get the angle "just right" but it will slip back on.

I always do the stator cover first so I can watch the routing of the stator wires. Then once that is on I can move those wires to the proper spot before I put the tranny cover over them. Remember to put some gasket sealer on those stator wires where they exit the cover. Good luck with it.
