sorry to resurrect a thread that hasn't got any action for a few months.... but that is a great machine you've got there. I would like to easily reference this thread when I more likely than not have to tear into my 400... if I'm gonna be in there I might as well go nuts ;D

just got back from 2 fantastic weeks at the Manx Grand Prix initially to help Col (IOMTT9),secondly to ride in the Jurby Festival, Ramsey Sprint and the Parade Lap.
( busy time)
Col had serious issues with the new davies Honda and had to revert back to the 'old nail', the bike he rode in the 1984 newcomers MGP, and finished in 15th, (1st 500 honda/4), I really can't stress enough what a brilliant achievment it was. Well done mate, was so pleased for you..
Met Voxonda at Jurby Festival who found it difficult to talk 'cos he couldn't wipe the permanent smile off his face, don't think I've ever seen a man look so happy as he did when he came in from his session on the track, well done Rob.
Also met Alex Darville who is an absolute gent, he even offered me a ride on any one of his fabulous bikes but I stuck with my little honda.(thanks Alex)
Shame didn't get to meet lordmoonpie but looking at some later pics was right behind you on the startline Simon.
Conditions for the Parade Lap were atrocious, wet roads, rain and fog over most of the mountain, even so it was great to do a lap of closed roads on the same bike I did my 1st MGP race on in1977.
Ramsey Sprint went well, managed to win the 500 class for 2nd year running and beat
last years winning time.
So, a good time had  by all and I'm counting down the days for next years Manx already.

One of my runs later in the day is on youtube (dave roberts ramsey sprint 2012) , would like to put it on this post but don,t have the knowledge , if anyone out there has the capability, would appreciate it.

Hey Dave, was a pleasure meeting and talking to you too. Still feel sorry for not making it to the paddock on Monday, dreadful weather, hoped to seen you and Col. BTW. I adore that little bike of yours!

Cheers, Rob (still smiling)
Better sorry for failing then for the lack of trying.
