backrest pad
« on: May 18, 2010, 02:25:09 PM »
Hey guys
would like to fabricate a low sissy bar so the wife would be a little more comfortable on rides. Can anyone suggest a source to purchase a new pad. I'll take care of making the bracket. As always thanks a bunch.

Sargent or Corbin could make you a generic pad that you could probably fix to a modified grab rail.

I had a local car interior shop make this pad for me, cost me 40 bucks.

I made the bracket to attach to rack.

I've gotten a few over the years from the local bike salvage yards. They pull them off of cruisers etc. The OEM ones are usually plastic backs with nuts molded in. The universal ones may have wooden backing covered by the upholstery you run your own fasteners into them. Short wood screw.
