Thanks for the link. Now I got more questions. Mine is now all apart, but reading that link, I don't get the point of the broom stick! Mine was all disassembled easily.
I opened the bottom bolt, let the oil out, compressed the shock and got some more out, opened the top bolt, dumped the oil, removed the circlip, removed the bolt from the bottom of the lower and everything slipped right out except the seal and the seat with a large flange (not sure what its called). So once I follow the instruction for using hot water, I should be good. Right? Same technique to put everything back. Where does the broom stick come in? Got to mention that my shocks were out of the bike. If the broom stick is for stopping the valve from spinning, mine didn't! I had my son hold shock with upper and lower in hand while I turned the bottom center bolt. Thats it!
