Any update on the seats? I've got a 76 F in need of a new seat and the gunfighter with red piping looks pretty cool IMO...

Here is the Corbin that came on my 750F from "back in the day". Seat was built on customers stock seat pan( Is this how it used to be done, rather than having a plastic seat mold?). No provision is left for the stock seat metal trim, so the holes in the cowl have been filled. It is by far the most comfortable and ride worthy seat I have used on a CB750, despite there only being an inch of foam up front.

Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame

Going to watch this thread...my original F3's seat is "OK" but the Corbins seem to be well loved and something a bit more cushy might be welcome. That is, if I can stomach the Canadian import tax. :/

No.
And, I can't remember the last time I painted my fingernails red.   ;D

But, I have two sisters.  I think they tried that out on me in my very early years.  Vague memory about that.
I did use clear for a time to strengthen my nails for finger picking on the guitar.  High maintenance.  So, I just got better with a flat pick.  ;D ;D

Just installed an old school Corbin/Gentry I bought from RickyRacer. Thought y'all might like to see.

I'm thinking I may have Corbin or another upholsterer refinish this. I've only ridden it around the block but it seems to sit a bit too far forward for my tastes. It may actually be perfect for the occasional 2-up ride though.
So much to do, so little time.

I'm picking up my bike and seat next week.  I'll take pictures.

I have asked about other SOHC4s.  But, either there has been some communication disconnect, or they aren't interested.  I can't tell which it is just now.

They might be struggling for an attractive business model.

Cheers,

Greg@Corbin says they want the different 750 K models also! We have to figure out how many models they will need to make a seat for each then get bikes to them. I don't have a K clue.

Notice they did not include the 77-78K. Longer seat pan, much reduced sales volume.  Also are they aware (am I correct?) that in the 69 to 76 lineup, the hinges swapped sides at some point? or was that on the 77-78?

I've got an email into Greg at Corbin about bringing my 76k in. Mine hinges on the right (sitting on bike)... Not sure about any other years though, anyone want to fill in the blanks?

Ok, a little more research and it appears they hinged on the same side to 76. But the K0-K1 didn't use the key latch. When I hear from Greg I'll see if he knows this and what they want to do about it. I imagine it's not as easy as switching the early style latch for the later plunger... Seems the seat pan is the same, the hinge points also, just the latching mechanism that isn't gonna fly...
