Bolt bastards - hate them!

You know the type, the ones that love to point out what you've done wrong with your build, especially in front of a crowd. It seems Mark Twain had them way back then too!

Now you know why I did not go to the parking lot at the swapmeet!!

I hate being the bearer ot the bastard bolt news..

like last year.. when I saw a 78 CR looking replica.. asked the guy why he used the latest motor you could buy, the only one with serial number in a different place.. to try to make a bike look like the earliest ones... ;)

That sucks.  I'm not one for nigglers either.  Besides, who says Honda did it the best way the first time?  I personally think they needed more rust on the machines right out of the factory.  ;-)

I have a bike friend who is ANAL but he is a reverse bolt bastard.  Everytime I talk about painting my 77 or replacing this or doing that he says ride it and enjoy it. Don't obsess on every damn nut and bolt.  Of course he rides a650 Savage. My bike looks great to me and if you don't like paint job keep iot to yourself.

I was at a bike rally / bike show for mainly vintage bikes and there was stunningly beautiful late 60's BSA and these knobs were knocking it for stupid stuff like wrong bolts and nuts.
I felt bad for the owner that put so much work into the bike.  I called them a$$holes and left.

The owner just about pi$$ed himself laughing so hard.
