Hi Guys, Seafoam is not available in the UK. Could someone please read the label on their can and post a list of what's in the stuff? Then I can look around the stuff that's available here and see if there is anything similar that I can use in my bike. Thanks in advance, Oldbiker. (John)

Did you let your bike sit too long?

My wife puts seafoam in my coffee when I sit too long. It must work. I have some to put in the gas now and then.

It gets rid of moisture and cleans varnish and salts that build up. Especially good when you suspect jets might have sat too long, but not long enough to completely get blocked off. Some people spray it into the intake while running to de-carb the top end. (of course how much build-up you have will determine success in that department)

Great stuff use it in all my gaz powered items. Next time I think of it will post a pic of the label, about $8 bucks a can at checker auto.

Use Seafoam in all my logging machines, takes water out of fuel, clean injectors. You can tell the difference in the way they run.

Probably not much. It already has alcohol in it.

we used to be able to get 93 at a Sinclair station, but i havent seen one of those in a while either... now the highest is 91. luckily my bike, like me, is not picky...

98 octane in most of the rest of the world is the same as 93 octane here in the U.S. We just use a different rating system.

And unless your sohc4's engine has been modified for higher compression or has a large amount of carbon build-up in the combustion chamber, 87 octane is all it needs and won't benefit from any higher.

Yep, you get a slower burn from higher octane gas meaning you have to retard your timing to get a good burn.
