My CB750K2 Project
« on: February 01, 2006, 09:31:02 AM »
Hello SOHC4,
I have been meaning to do this for a while, I finally got around to posting some pictures of my build process.  Nothing to major, but it sure is fun.  And I know others out there are like me and just like looking at what others are doing.  I can't wait to pickup another one to start on... maybe a 400F, b/c they are so damn cool looking.

Nice job on the bike! Just curious, what did you do to cure the wet sumping?
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Honestly, nothing yet.  Just learned to live with it (rags under the bike when parked, just kidding), start it up once in a while, and dont' fill the oill res just b/c its a bit low.  My sumping isn't bad, it takes a couple months for the oil to find its way out of the resovoir and into the engine.  Basically, I ride it!  When I get some time and a place to work on it (I live in an apartment), I want to fix it right, I've read a few threads on the matter on this board.

I know the apartment thing. Limited space and makes it hard to work on anything.

Ya, I was just reading the thread on this site, which is awsome, about people work shops.  Everything from apartment decks, to full blow airplane hangers.  I get a warm and fuzzy feeling just thinking about having a two car garage for nothing but mechanic stuff.  I really want to get a bike lift when that happens.

BTW- Love your avatar!

Sweet bike !

I recall seeing it over at Carpy's site, due to the seat I am sure.  ;D
Like the color, and the offset stripe.

Much better than the way you bought it  ::)

Good job, long live the mighty K2's !

That's the one, I NEED to get a better picture of it, as it is really shiny and perdy.  This spring I'll get a nice one while doing a burnout!   ;D
