1969/70 CB750 Side Covers

Can anyone tell me what a pair of 1969/70 750 side covers in very good condition would be worth?

The paint is in pretty good shape with minor scratches.  The badges are intact and in good shape.

Funny you should ask. I keep an eye on the K0 parts occasionally. Here are some eBay offerings from last year...

08/17/05  Right Side Cover, Candy Gold with Badge NOS $500.00
  
08/17/05  Left Side Cover, Candy Gold with Badge NOS $500.00
  
02/21/05  Left side cover, 1969 CB750, Blue Listed as not perfect, no badge  $249.00

Those were winning bid amounts.  :o

I deal with shop owner I get parts for my 77/78 K bike from.  He specializes in putting together Kaw rebuilds (nice looking bikes).  I was looking for a 750 tank last week for my new 78 K project and I  came across these 69/70 side covers.  I could not believe how good a shape they were in.  He says he might have more old 750 side covers in the attic of his shop.  I'll let him know what Forum has stated.

Reproduction covers are available from classic motorcycle supplies in Holland By all accounts they are better than originals but need painting

Not too long ago we were watching an ebay auction for a pair of candy gold side covers that ended up selling for $600.  and those weren't even from a K0!

True enough. I suspect the prices on eBay are bid up as they are by folks who must have the original, real thing for a concourse restoration. If one were willing to accept getting the old girl back to "looking" like she should, the repro covers are probably just fine.

I agee.  I have a real nice set of 78's on my 77 and I'm afraid to park it where I can't watch it.  I went t that Classic site this morning and they only had a left cover listed.  There is alway JCW.
