K2 fork seal back up ring and circlip
« on: February 10, 2006, 04:22:47 PM »
I am rebuilding my front forks on my K2 and the fork seals are easy to get. The back up washer (not used on K3 and later) and the circlip 50mm were rusted very badly and I need to replace. The parts seem to not be available and have been discontinued. I can make a new back up washer from a larger stainless washer if necessary. I have found a company ROTOCLIP (www.rotoclip.com) that has an exact circlip to replace the Honda part ( DHO-50). It is even made in stainless steel if wanted. My problem is the company will not sell direct and the distributors only sell in boxes of 100. Does anyone know an easier outlet for these parts. Thanks Dan

Dan,
Whilst I'm under the4 influence ...... :P
50mm circlip if in the US is 2" from your local eng supply store, Stainless (In my Book) wouldn't have the caracteristics of a "Real" circlip
And if you are really stuck ....PM me I may have one to post.
Paul.
