73-76 750K & 75/76 750F Handlebars-WE HAVE NEW BARS!!
« on: May 13, 2010, 03:28:05 PM »
Does anyone know where a guy can find NOS bars. Honda discontinued these. Not like they produced maybe 100,000 or more bikes of these years!!  >:( These are the bars with -341 as the middle numbers. I KNOW one of you guys are sitting on new ones that need a new home. I'd prefer not to purchase and ship from Yamiya in Japan if I don't have to. I've checked all the usual Honda and aftermarket places but no luck.

Thanks

I didn't give up. I'm a persistent bastard!  ;)

I just ordered a set from Sudco. Item 900-307. I emailed Flanders and John Flanders suggested Sudco. The Sudco catalogue had 2 listings for 750's. "CB750K0-K5  69-75  Stock Bend  Item 900-307" and "CB750K  1976  Stock Bend  Item 900-307" !! Strange, same part number! AND, K0 are not the same as K3 and up. Contacted Chad at Sudco. He says those are the K6 bars which is what this subject title refers to. He said these have the higher rise. They are on the way so we'll see. I'll report back in a few days. $132 which I believe is the same price Yamiya charges but shipping has to be considerably less.

Good day,

I think I should get at least a t-shirt from these guys...... but have you given e-bay a whirl? It's surprising what you can find.

Cheers

But are they NOS OEM? Jerry wins, hands down, as the most insane builder here. A new 1976 750F, never ridden, built part by part. Ain't that right Jerry?  ;) ;D ;D
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame

Sean, you are correct with the exception I will be reusing the engine cases with the serial number 1001954 and that's why I'm limiting it to 900 as I don't have to bore the cases. INSANE is the proper word!  ;) However my sanity and bank account are about to start rebounding. I didn't think for hanging' and riding for 1 day it would've been that obvious! Hopefully again soon.

Andy, thanks for the offer. That's a much cheaper alternative! I did manage to get a set of nice used bars I'll be selling eventually. Sean nailed my ass however, I now have NEW but not NOS OEM (that I know of, hmmm) ;=}

OK Guys, this #$%* is driving me crazy but we've already determined that! The only place I had found them was Yamiya in Japan. Something in excess of $200 including shipping which I actually refused to give in to believe it or not.

Today I received my NEW bars from Sudco. THEY MATCH! Woohoo. It was somewhat of an experiment when I ordered. Chad assured me they were correct. They are listed incorrectly in Sudco's catalogue and they came in labeled incorrectly too! Being the skeptic and pessimist I am I had my doubts considering the worldwide/ worldwide web/ nightly EBay watch for 3 years (see insanity mentioned in this thread-persistent is the correct term). They are labeled as "CB750 K1-K6 handlebar". The Sudco catalogue had 2 listings for 750's. "CB750K0-K5 69-75  Stock Bend  Item 900-307" and "CB750K  1976  Stock Bend  Item 900-307". We all know the bars changed with the K3.

If you need new bars for a K3-K6 or for your US model F0-F1 order these. The Sudco part number is 900-307
