Topic: Any Doctor Who fans?

First to be clear I am talking about the new Doctor Who series.


With that being said whats everyone's opinion about the new series we are on? The new Doctor? I know that David Tennant was well loved and a damn good Doctor, but I do think we need to give this new guy a break, he has some very big shoes to fill.

Well just as it's always been, the actor doesn't MAKE the show what it is. Top notch writers and producers are, and I believe the current iteration of the series has many people behind the scenes who have waited their entire lives to be there.  The actor playing the Doctor is always shockingly different than his predecessor, it's always been part of the fascination in my opinion.

See I agree, but I am kind of on the fence about the current writers, I dont know if I am liking whats going on right now. Just have to wait and see I think.

Yup, it's been that way from time to time in the original series too.  Now is the time for patience, more palateable episodes are nigh!

I just started getting into the DR. and I have every show out there on my hard drive. I love my friends.

Was also gonna say that the Daleks scared the crap out of me as a kid; and the theme song by Orbital was the first song I ever put on my old iPod when I first got it.

Long time fan since the 70's.  Don't have cable so I have to wait for Netflix but we have finished the David Tennant episodes.  He was great right up there with Tom Baker.  Thought Peter Davidson was good too.
