« on: May 18, 2010, 12:23:09 PM »
I went out and got a test light and a multimeter but dont have a clue on how to test to make sure that its bad coils ???  ???  I just figured i should test them first since neither of them are working.

Coils don't completely fail all that often.  It's even more rare for both to fail at the same time.  Chances are the problem is in the wiring somewhere before the coils.

Check for switched power on the black wires to the coils and work your way back from there.

yeah i figured it was something other than the coils when i didnt have any spark out of both of them. Im just goin to print off the wiring diagram and just start at coils and work my way back to see where im loosing power at.  Im stuck at work now till 11 so wont be able to dive into this fun project till tomorrow  :-[

So according to the wiring diagram of the ignition system i just need to follow lead from the battery back if it doesnt have any power at the coil correct?
