Well I'm sure you guys love these almost as much as a good oil thread but I'm curious. I just bought a newer Triumph Speed Triple and although I love this bike to death it would sure help to drop a bike out of the fleet. However I won't do it if I don't get what I want. And rather than tell what I want I want to get some opinions. So without further talking here is what I am thinking about listing. Give me an honest answer on what she's worth.
This is a 1975 CB750K. I bought it used about a year ago with about 22,000 miles on the clock. The previous owner tried a chopper theme that did NOT work. I have plenty of extra '75 parts so I put her back to stock. I will be the first to say that she doesn't look like much. But mechanically speaking she's a gem. I did every piece of maintenance required and suggested to the engine and I am getting a compression reading of 150 within 5% on all four cylinders, cold. The only rust is on the exhaust, which I believe is an S&S which sounds awesome but is looking rough. At some point someone painted the engine black and did not do a great job as it is flaking. The gas tank is solid with no rust on the inside. I did replace the original gauges with another set of '75 gauges with 8,000 miles on them. The original gauges wires were replaced with all red wire and rather than track everything down I took the easy route. She's a blast to ride, easy to start (kicks over on the first or second kick, I usually use electric) and idles great. All she really needs is a good cleaning and some paint.
I redid a set of stock forks with new seals, a through cleaning and fresh oil.
I rebuilt the front caliper with a new seal kit and fresh pads.
I rebuilt the master cylinder with fresh seals and new stainless lines to the caliper.
A set of super bike bars and new grips (I'm tall so this is comfortable for me).
New sprockets and O-ring chain.
New Dyna-s ignition.
New CB900 coils, Dyna wires and spark plugs.
New K&N air filter and airbox rubbers.
Newer tires front and back.
New clutch pack with Barnett springs.
New Honda seat cover.
