The numbers associated with our galleries
« on: February 02, 2006, 10:36:22 AM »
Are they in reference to the order that we all became members of this site?  for instance, I am number 58.

Today: '73 cb350f, '96 Ducati 900 Supersport
Past Rides: '72 tc125, '94 cbr600f2, '76 rd400, '89 ex500, '93 KTM-125exc, '92 zx7r, '93 Banshee, '83 ATC250R, 77/75 cb400f

They are sort of in order of your joining this site.  There are probably lots of holes since some poeple never confirmed their registration and others joined, never posted, and haven't logged in for over 6 months.  I usually delete those accounts.  So you could be #58 and there wouldn't be anyone with number 50-57 or something like that.

Anyway, look for my other post; I'm reviving the SOHC/4 registration system today.  The directory isn't up yet, but I'm collecting registration details and issuing member numbers starting with number 3327 which is where we left off about 18 months ago.

Does that mean I get my old number back?

(Think I prefer #15 actually...  8) )

I put the # number on each Gallery post as I thought that it would help in indexing and searching the Gallery.

Well, you're about 10 years too late for #15.  Jim Brewer got that number back in 1994. :-)

Can he make Jim an offer he cannot refuse, nor understand to get 15 from him? ;D

Well Glenn gave me back #2393 which is what I was allocated back in 2001 when I first joined.  Unless you were #609 on the old board I don't think there's much chance...

I check all new registrations against the database I have.  If you are in there already, I'll update the registration information and let you know your number.

By the way, the gallery site we're working on has text fields for your forum ID and number since we can't sync numbers and many of you don't have SOHC4 numbers.

cammers since (94!) when john put out the call on wreck.motorcycles...:)

Gotta have something to show for all these years (and how many actually remember using a text mode
NNTP reader?)

Any of you old-timers certainly get to hold on to your original numbers.  The forum number just became significant because the new members couldn't register.  I'm sure not giving up SOHC4 #3 even though I'm member #1 here.

Kind of funny that Brian, who lives in New Jersey, and me, who lives in Eastern PA have been in this group since '94 when it all started and we've never met in person.  Has to happen this year.

That's what I am now Steve, can't remember what I was when I joined, but I wasn't on the old board.

You're right..it has to, if I have to put my bikes on a trailer and drag them over to your house...:)

And, looking on google maps, he's actually closer to where I work (valley forge, pa) than my own house is....:)

Glenn...this year.  Like I said...even if I have to put them on a trailer...;)

Is everyone under 7414 a sandcast member?  Are they worth more on Ebay? Glenn, I live in Springfield Delaware County, Pa. I see an eastern Pa. ride and meet in a few of our futures. Eli
