1980 Suzuki GS850g

Picked this up today for $100, of course it was in rougher shape than expected & missing a few more parts than just the headlight like the P/O told me.  His plan was to build a cafe racer out of it along the lines Twinline Motorcycles builds here in Seattle, so he painted it flat black & took the fenders off & then lost interest in the project.  Looks like it just needs a headlight bucket, airbox & leftg side cover.   Plan for now is to get it back together to see how it runs, most of the parts are on the way, with the exception of the bucket & airbox, to ride it while I work on my CB550.

Just a tip. This motor does not start without having some type of air restriction. You need to have the air box.

thanks for the heads up- hope to snag the air box off eBay in an hour or so-couple of hundred dollars in parts on the way- hope to fire it up by next weekend!

Got a little bit of work done this last weekend, hopefully the rest of the air box parts will be here on friday- want to fire it up this weekend:


Got an air box off eBay- opened it up & guess what- I got a free sock!!
