90' cb650 custom. pd50 carbs....so i finally got all my carbs to work and all the pipes get nice and hot , but i still have to use choke even if its been warmed up.....when i put my hand over the air cleaner cover opening, the engine revs up, do this means that the bike is running too rich, so where to look now??

sounds lean to me, the choke and your hand are restricting airflow. are your float levels correct ?

I had similar issues that were cured by cleaning the pilot jets...again, and again after gunk in the fuel clogged them them ...again.  Do your carbs have a fuel mixture screw or an air mixture screw?

You put your hand over the air cleaner opening...is the air cleaner stock or otherwise?

The more we get involved, the more we learn.

80' cb650 btw my mistake on the first post...ive cleaned the pilot jets many many times, and i have an inline fuel filter before fuel goes into the carbs....i think its a fuel screw? its on the bottome right in front of the bowls on each one..and this is a stock air box.. but i was having trouble with the pilot screws on two of the carbs and after i cleaned them several times ive got each cylinder firing so thats a plus, but still running too lean.....
