Missing Half Moon Ball Bearing Setting - Can anyone help?
« on: May 29, 2010, 10:37:15 PM »
Hello, I am in the process of putting together my engine (after a lengthy break) and unfortunately it seems I am missing a part...

I am missing Part No.1 (above bearing No.1) from the image below.
Has anyone got an extra or know of something suitable as a replacement?

The snap ring that is supplied with the replacement bearing is too wide for use in the engine...

Any suggestions?

If you have bought a generic bearing and the snap ring is too big for the casing the groove is too big for the 1/2 moon and the bearing will not be located properly
