New guy from Texas
« on: May 25, 2010, 04:07:16 pm »
I'm a new old(51) guy here.  I ride a  '95 Nighthawk 750.  I grew up riding Hondas.  Started on a Trail 70 and progressed to a CL 100 that I rode as much offroad and on dirt roads as I did pavement.  Always thought in the 70's that I would someday own a CB 750 but it took 30+ years before I got the offspring of the original 750.  I love to ride, wrench, and talk motorcycles.  I'm looking to buy a project bike in the future, preferably a late 70's-early 80's 750.  Looking forward to learning more about them here.

Welcome, I am from Nacogdoches Tx. Good to have another Texan onboard. There is a wealth of knowledge about the SOHC CBs here. Any question you might have the answer is here. The search bar is your best friend! Keep an eye on Craigslist and you'll find a deal on a CB750 for sure. I picked mine up for $100 and have been working on her since... Just got her rideable, and its been GREAT!!! If you are handy with a wrench, you an use this site to build your dream 750...

Welcome, fellow Texan! I got the "CB Bug" last year and am restoring a '76 550F Super Sport.
Watch the for sale listing on this forum and as Gorilla suggested, Craigslist in the DFW area. There was a real nice 750 recently for about $1000, I was tempted to go pick it up!

Have fun...

Saw that, thanks for joining up! Searched the Craigslist ads in DFW and other cities around New Boston... Couple good CB750s floating around. All between 1-2k, don't know what your budget is... Keep looking, you may get lucky and get a once in a lifetime deal like mine!
