Engine reassembly - Am I missing a o-ring?
« on: May 26, 2010, 06:13:53 PM »
It's been awhile, and the shop manual is terrible about mentioning this kind of stuff. Anyone know if I am missing an o-ring?

Looks like one may go there but not being specific does not help. Use one of the many dealers parts fiche to see if you need something there.

Agreed.

To the point yes an Oring goes there and across the cam chain tunnel. Essentially the 2 rear center studs have Orings. My knowledge stops at K2. Later models have more than that.

Yes it's a 750, I had to go buy some as my gasket kit only provided 2x 11x2.5 O-Rings. I needed 4.

I checked the parts list fiche, and I do not see an oring for the cam chain tunnel.

Anyways I have the motor back together now ;)

He meant on the studs on either side of the cam chain tunel, not the tunnel itself. You got it it sounds like.
