Yes there is.  Named after Richard Bong, number one American ace of WWII from Poplar WI.  It is across the state from the Bong Memorial near Poplar.  This is the old memorial as it has been moved indoors to nearby Superior WI.

I knew of Richard Bong, didn't know that area was named for him, the P38 was ahead of it's time, it took a great pilot to master it's abilities.
