Question about air mixture screw
« on: May 28, 2010, 01:17:16 PM »
I've been having trouble with my mixture and I think I've discovered why. In the FAQ section of this site, it says to turn out the air mixture screw 1.5 - 2 turns. But does that mean each "turn" is 180 degree or is it a full 360 degree "turn"?

Thanks
mossen

OK well that kind of makes me feel like a dumbass. I was thinking "turn" as in, when you turn a book over, or turn around to face another direction. No wonder my bike was running poor, I was thinking 180 degree turns. My mixture was too lean by 50%!

You mean a whole 360 degree turn, correct?
Because that is what they mean by that.

And not a hard turn in. Nice 'n' easy.

I find the word 'turn' misleading. U-turn means 180o, right? But then, why call it a U-turn? A 360o turn makes no sense, you'll be heading where you were going already. It makes no sense at all. Only mad dogs and Englishmen make full turns.
