My brother has the gel and says it is not that good. Says the butt still gets sore. On the Goldwing my wife and I use the Air Hawk inflatable with the separate chambers. They work good for both of us.

i put a gel saddle pad made for a close contact english saddle under the upholstery on my k4 750 seat. works GREAT.

We have a GL1800 Goldwing and I use a gel pad on the stock seat and like it. It can be bought at Walmart for around $20.00.

Spanner,  I did 240 miles yesterday on my little gel pad (the smallest from Saddleskins).  My ass hurt like hell when I got home, but only the left side.  The sheepskin cover was soaked!
