Fitting Electrex reg/rect, '75 550F
« on: February 04, 2006, 04:57:23 PM »
Hi guys,

I finally got me an Electrex reg/rect combo unit to replace my flaky mechanical regulator, and I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on how to mount it. It won't exactly fit anywhere in the standard bracket, so I figure I'll have to fabricate an adapter somehow. Mike R., I saw your excellent shock mount but on my bike that's exactly where the fuse box is.

Anyone with an early 550 with separate regulator/rectifier mounted one of these in a clever way?

Yeah, I mentioned I saw that one... but the setup is different than what's underneath my own left sidecover...
