Go for a two stroke .Kaw 500 triple.RD400 or 350. You wont regret it.Or even a suzuki gt500.Nothin like the winding sound of a stoker and they smell great to boot.Even my 380 triple does move out with some mods ive made.

My 2 cents worth.

Got to have a stinky 2 stroke in the garage, that smell and noise is wonderful.

I do admit i miss the smell of my snowmobiles that i kicked to the curb this year.  That sticky oil smell that coats your clothes has been missed.  I think i am going to serioulsy look at some of these old 2 strokers

If you want another classic Jap bike which will appreciate in value and be a blast to ride too, find a 1973 or 1974 Kawasaki 900 Z1 and restore it to stock. Good parts availability ( other than the exhaust pipes, which are a killer to find ) and shocking performance for a 33 year old design.

These pics are from the Moto Carrera web site.  The gray Buffalo was formerly owned by me - sold to a friend of mine in the UK and the Orange RD350 was one of my first restification projects.

Hey Uncle Ernie a "kettle" and Buffalo are the same bike and they can be made to handle if you put the right tyres on them IE continental ribbed on the front and the HUGE 5.1 ( i think) continental on the rear
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

Why not a Rokon, Honda MB-5, or something off the wall?

I've allways wanted an early Katana 1100 or 86 GSX-R 1100.
Katana's are really expensive here, if you happen to find one somewhere!
Those old GSX-R's are much cheaper.
